The Christmas Shoes Website By New Song

The Christmas Shoes is a Christmas Themed story, song, book, film and play. The Christmas Shoes was released in 2000 by a contemporary Christian music group called Newsong. The Newsong group was founded and established in 1981, in a church called "Morningside Baptist Church" in Valdosta Georgia.



The band consisted of five members until some of the members decided to part their separate ways to pursue other avenues in 1993 leaving the band with only three members. For the next seven years members came and went however in 2000 soloist Michael O'Brien, Steve Reischl and former member Matt Butler joined Newsong. The band was very successful releasing their album entitled "Sheltering Trees- The Power, Promise and Refuge of Friendship".

Shortly After the release of the album, songwriter and electric guitarist Leonard Ahlstrom left to help a friend manage a recording label in Florida. The only #1 hit from the album was ?The Christmas Shoes?, a Christmas bonus track. The song inspired Donna VanLiere to write a book based on the song, The Christmas Shoes. The book then inspired CBS to make a movie based on the book. "The Christmas Shoes" movie was released on December 2002.

The Christmas Shoes story started circulating the internet in 1999. The Christmas Shoes is a story about a young boy named Nathan who wants to purchase a pair of shoes for his dying mother. When faced with not enough money he turns to a successful lawyer Robert, who standing in line trying to deal with the possibility of divorce over the Christmas Holidays. No one would have ever known how something as simple as helping a little boy with a pair of Christmas Shoes for his mother would make Robert think about the value of family, helping others, the trust of faith and the feelings of love.

The Christmas Shoes is a wonderful story to share with everyone, listen to the song, read or rent it today on DVD. You never know when you may be in need of a miracle, until one happens.

This song will get to yuo every time! When I first heard it, I cried! Ever since, I just can't get enough of it! IF YOU HAVNT HEARD THIS SONG, THEN BE SURE TO!!! GO NEWSONG!!!
